Hi,
Glad to find this group. My Wii Fit is on its way; I'm planning on making it part of a fitness push including the old-fashioned treadmill and changing my diet too. If this is the right place, I'm planning on posting my results here, and look forward to see what everyone else is doing too. I'm also interested in DDR; is anyone using that on the wii?

Mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I am so excited! My goal is to use it every day for at least 30 mins and see how it goes. I am a serious couch potato so I need something easy and motivating like this. I hope it works.
1I'm using the DDR- I LOVE it. It gets your heart pumping and is completely addictive. I get kind of sad when my goal is met and the game finishes.
I can't wait to get my hands on my Wii Fit- though I heard a rumor that amazon wouldn't be shipping till the 27th. The 27th, really? I ordered it in the 2nd pre-order batch.
How often are you planning to use it?
2While I would like to do every day, I know that it may be unrealistic for me. So I plan on 4 days/week minimum, and more when I can. Glad to hear you like DDR... I just may have to get that for some cardio variety.
I did the Amazon pre-order... don't know which batch... and their site now has a message that they are trying to ship on the 21st. Here's the whole message on Amazon:
"Please note that we are in the process of receiving all "Wii Fit" product from Nintendo and are working to ship out your orders. We anticipate that all orders will ship on or before May 21. As we begin to ship products, your delivery estimates will be updated. Check your order status for the most up-to-date information. Also, please note that Nintendo officially changed the release date of "Wii Fit" to May 21 a few weeks back. For those who have been unable to order "Wii Fit," we are actively seeking more of this product from suppliers. Please, check back soon to see if more are available."
I too have become a serious couch potato; I've tried taking up exercise several times, and keep letting myself get thrown off track. I thought maybe posting here would help... you know, making it public. This also seems like a seriously cool way to exercise, so maybe that will help.
3I love the wii fit. My fit age today was 5 years younger than I am for real! I have my first check in Wednesday...I'll let you know how I weigh in!
